A woman was arrested early Saturday morning after driving erratically and showing signs of being drunk.

Kelly Rowe, 40, of Urbana, was stopped by Bellefontaine Police near Ludlow and Gunntown Roads after her car swerved off the road.

The incident began around 12:30 AM when police noticed a gray Chevrolet SUV parked at the TP Bowling Alley on East Lake Avenue.

The car had its headlights and reverse lights flashing, and the driver’s door was open, with someone leaning outside.

After seeing the car drive strangely, the officer pulled it over.

When the officer approached the car, he smelled alcoholic beverages and noticed Rowe showed signs of intoxication.

She admitted to having two drinks earlier at the bowling alley.

Rowe was asked to perform sobriety tests, but she struggled to follow instructions.

She was then taken to the police station, where she was given more tests and failed them.

A breath test showed her blood alcohol level was 0.184, more than two times the legal limit.

Rowe was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI), given a citation, then released to a sober driver.

The car was towed from the scene.
