The Rushsylvania Lions Club gathered late last week at The Flying Pepper in Bellefontaine to celebrate a trio of milestones: their annual officer installation, the recognition of this year’s scholarship recipients, and the club’s 40th anniversary.

Past District Governor Darlene Roll officiated the installation of new officers. Serving for the upcoming year are:

  • Back row (L to R): Jason Miller (3rd Vice President), George Clayton (Board Member), Chuck Skidmore (Treasurer), and Clay Eagy (Board Member & Assistant Secretary)
  • Front row (L to R): Judi Wroten (1st Vice President), Bill Wreede (President), and PDG Lion Darlene Roll
Board members John Bayliss and Andy Johnson were unable to attend.

The evening also recognized the club’s scholarship recipients — all 2025 Benjamin Logan graduates — who each received a $1,000 scholarship.

Honored at the event were Blake Frazier, Noah Stanford, and Bryden Morris. Taytum Daniels also received a scholarship but was unable to attend.

Closing out the evening, longtime Lion G. Bruce Norris received the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellowship Award for Humanitarianism, the highest honor given by Lions Club International.

The award was presented by PDG Roll in recognition of Norris’s years of dedicated service.
