The Village of Rushsylvania will celebrate Independence Day on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
Planned is a day full of fun, starting with a Lions Club breakfast from 8 – 10 AM, followed by a parade at noon.
The Grand Marshalls of this year’s parade are Dan and Joann Mitchell, long-time residents of Rushsylvania.
Dan is one of the founding members of the Rushsylvania Lions Club, which originated 40 years ago.
The couple has, for generations, devoted their time, talents, and resources to service to others and has been an integral part of the community for many, many years.
In recognition of their dedication, Mayor Jason Miller declared the 28th as Dan and Joann Mitchell Day in the village and named them the Grand Marshals in a ceremony earlier this week.
After the parade, activities at the park fill the fun bucket with bounce houses, old-fashioned games, the kiddie tractor pull, cornhole, and so much more.
Mayor Jason Miller says it’s all about community…
The day ends on a powerful note of fireworks presented by the Rushsylvania Fire Department.
