Russells Point is getting a new hotel.

The Villiage of Russells Point Planning Commission unanimously voted Monday evening to approve & recommend to the village council, the Cobblestone Hotel construction project.

Just minutes later, the Russells Point Villiage Council unanimously approved the project.

This is big news for the village, the Reed family, the Rudolph Family & the Cobblestone Investment Group.  The Reed & Rudolph families have worked on this project since the early 1980s. What was part of a dream and now is finally becoming a reality.

Jim Reed, Mike Major, Chairman of the Cobblestone Investor Group, Pat Beam, Architect for the Rudolph family, and Russells Point Mayor Robin Reams react to the council decision:

The next step for the Cobblestone project is final approval from the Ohio Department of Development, which is expected by the end of the week. Locals can expect dirt arrival and construction to begin in the next two weeks.
