Officers from the Bellefontaine Police Department were traveling behind a vehicle on West Sandusky Avenue near Troy Road Wednesday evening around 5:15. Officers observed the registered owner, Thomas Anderson Jr, 34, operating the vehicle and were aware that Anderson had a warrant for his arrest for possession of cocaine.
A traffic stop was initiated on South Troy Road, and the vehicle stopped on West Auburn Avenue.
Anderson was informed of his warrant and placed under arrest.
The front seat passenger, identified as Shandra Young, 41, also had a warrant for her arrest for possession of cocaine. Young was placed under arrest.
A search of the vehicle was conducted and no illegal contraband was found.
Anderson and Young were both transported to the Logan County Jail and lodged on their warrants.
