Russells Point man arrested for cocaine and drug paraphernalia while DoorDashing

On Thursday evening around 6:30, the Bellefontaine Police Department observed a vehicle on Washington Avenue from Hamilton Street with extremely dark window tint.

A traffic stop was initiated for a window tint violation.

The officer checked the window tint with a meter which checked at 17%. The legal limit is 50% on the front two windows.

Thomas Anderson Jr., 34, was identified.

When asked where Anderson was coming from, he said he was delivering for DoorDash and just left a residence on West Auburn Avenue.

Anderson said nothing illegal was inside the vehicle or on his person. He gave the officers consent to search his vehicle and person.

Nothing illegal was located on him.

During the search of the vehicle, officers found two crack pipes in the center console that contained chore boy. A digital scale and marijuana grinder and pipe were also located.

Located on a tray on the passenger side were multiple white rocks, consistent with crack cocaine.

The white rocks were field tested and were positive for crack cocaine.

He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.

Anderson was arrested for possession of crack cocaine, a felony of the 5th degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was not issued a citation for the window tint violation.
