Russells Point Mayor, John Huffman, Sunday, released the following proclamation:
As a mark of respect for Mayor Robin Reames passing on January 3, 2026. I ask that all flags at the municipal building and all public grounds within the Village of Russells Point, OH be flown at half-staff in remembrance of Mayor Robin Reames and all her great achievements. I ask that you fly all flags half-staff from today January 3, 2026, until the day of her funeral. Please remember Mayor Robin Reames for all her accomplishments, cheerfulness, caring and willingness to help everyone and dedication to the Village of Russells Point. Huffman confirmed that Reames passed away on Saturday after an illness.
Further details have not been released.
Reames served for 12 years as the Mayor of Russells Point before she retired in October of 2024.
During her tenure, Reames navigated numerous challenges, including health issues, a natural disaster, and spearheading essential infrastructure improvements.
Her leadership left a lasting impact on the community.
