On Tuesday afternoon, Russells Point Police officers responded to a report of a possible drunk driver on US 33.

The car, a silver four-door sedan, was reported speeding and swerving near Wilgus Drive.

Officers located the car, pulled it over, and spoke with the driver, 58-year-old Jacqueline Phillips of Russells Point. She showed several signs of intoxication.

An open case of Busch Light and open containers in the car were found by law enforcement.

After Phillips failed field sobriety tests, she was arrested and taken to the Bellefontaine Police Department, where her breath test showed a blood alcohol level two times the legal limit.

She was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and has prior DUI convictions from 2015 and 2018.

Phillips was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
