This just in from the North Pole:
“Ho ho ho, everyone! I was so excited to visit you tonight, but Mother Nature has other plans. Because of the weather, I will not be able to make my appearance this evening. The elves and I decided it’s best for everyone to stay safe. But don’t worry! I’ll do my best to visit tomorrow between 6:30 to 7:30 PM. I can’t wait to see all the wonderful boys and girls (and grown-ups too!) then! Thanks for your understanding, and please stay warm and safe tonight!” – Santa

A unique holiday sight is once again drawing crowds to the Whispering Pines neighborhood in Bellefontaine, where Santa Claus can be seen greeting visitors from the rooftop of a home on Woodglen Drive.
The tradition began during the COVID-19 pandemic and has since grown into a seasonal favorite, now welcoming hundreds of vehicles each year as families drive through to experience the festive display.
Santa will make his first appearance of the season this Friday and will continue spreading cheer nightly through December 23rd.
Guests can see him in action between 6:30 and 7:30 each evening, as long as weather conditions allow.
From his elevated viewpoint, Santa waves, dances, and acknowledges the many children and families who gather below, creating a joyful holiday atmosphere throughout the neighborhood.
“I love seeing the kids’ faces light up when they spot me on the roof,” said Santa. “It’s a magical part of the holiday season, and I’m glad it’s become such a big tradition.”
Sometimes, visitors spot an elf who often hands out candy canes to those stopping by to see St. Nicholas.
Nearby residents have embraced the event, decorating their homes and welcoming the extra activity.
Santa says the neighborhood’s support has helped the event flourish, turning a simple idea into a cherished Bellefontaine holiday tradition.
Visitors are encouraged to share their photos and videos of Santa’s rooftop appearances on his Facebook page.
