Second Harvest Food Bank of Clark, Champaign, and Logan Counties is proud to announce a grant award of $75,000 from Honda, reinforcing a shared commitment to strengthening communities and ensuring that no family goes without food.

This impactful grant will directly support Second Harvest’s operational capacity, funding the essential logistics, staffing, and infrastructure needed to distribute millions of pounds of food across its tri-county service area.

With food insecurity rates continuing to rise, especially in marginalized populations, this support comes at a critical time.

“We are incredibly grateful for Honda’s continued commitment to corporate social responsibility,” said Jennifer Brunner, development director at Second Harvest Food Bank. “This grant will help us reach more families, more seniors, and more children with nutritious food, while also giving us the flexibility to meet the increasing need in our region. Honda is not only investing in our work—they’re investing in the health and dignity of our neighbors.”

The collaboration between Honda and Second Harvest reflects a growing recognition that fighting hunger requires both community involvement and corporate leadership.

Honda’s investment aligns with its long-standing dedication to fostering sustainable and thriving communities across Ohio.

Second Harvest Food Bank currently serves more than 56,000 neighbors annually, distributing nearly 5 million pounds of food through a network of pantries, mobile markets, and school programs. With support from corporate partners like Honda, the food bank can sustain and scale its impact during a time of rising demand and limited resources.
