Second Harvest Food Bank has announced updates to its January mobile food distribution schedule due to dangerously cold temperatures and winter weather impacting the region.
The Mobile Food Distribution scheduled for Saint Vincent de Paul’s in Russells Point has been cancelled due to frigid conditions. Organizers say the decision was made to protect the safety of volunteers and community members.
Additionally, the Logan County Mobile Food Distribution, originally planned for today, has been cancelled and rescheduled because of inclement weather.
The updated schedule is as follows:
-
New Date: Wednesday, January 28
-
Time: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
-
Location: Logan County Fairgrounds
Second Harvest encourages residents to stay warm, avoid unnecessary travel, and follow its official channels for future updates or additional schedule changes.
Officials say they look forward to serving the community as soon as conditions allow and thank residents for their patience and understanding during this period of severe winter weather.
