Second Harvest mobile pantry schedule set for April

Residents across the region will have multiple opportunities to receive free food in April as Second Harvest Food Bank of Champaign, Clark, and Logan Counties has released its full mobile pantry schedule.

The program will make stops throughout Champaign, Clark, and Logan counties, offering both drive-thru distributions and walk-up options.

Some locations do not require appointments, while others may.

The month begins Wednesday, April 1, at Lion’s Club Ball Park in West Liberty from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, April 7, the mobile pantry will be at the Annex Building in Lakeview from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

This location is a walk-up site and does not require an appointment.

The following day, Wednesday, April 8, distribution will take place at Triad High School from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Mid-month distributions begin Tuesday, April 14, at Richland Township Park in Belle Center from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The pantry returns to Lion’s Club Ball Park in West Liberty on Wednesday, April 15, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.

On Thursday, April 16, a distribution is scheduled at the Church of Christ in Rushsylvania from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a stop Friday, April 17, at the Champaign County Fairgrounds from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

The schedule continues Monday, April 20, at the St. Paris Firehouse from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, April 21, the pantry will be at Woodstock Free Will Baptist Church from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, April 22, Riverside Local Schools will host a walk-up distribution from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. with no appointment required.

Thursday, April 23, brings a stop at St. Michael’s Church in Mechanicsburg from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.

The final week includes a distribution Monday, April 27, at the Logan County Fairgrounds from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by the last scheduled stop Tuesday, April 28, at St. Vincent De Paul in Russells Point from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The mobile pantry program is designed to improve access to fresh and shelf-stable foods for families across the three-county area.
