According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, a medical emergency is believed to have contributed to a single-vehicle crash Tuesday evening, shortly before 8:00 PM, on County Road 18 that left three people injured.

Deputies say 47-year-old Andrew Sheriff of DeGraff was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu when he suffered a suspected seizure behind the wheel.

The vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a utility pole, continued through a planted wheat field, and eventually came to rest.

Sheriff, his passenger, 30-year-old Lindsay Timmerman of DeGraff, and a child were all injured in the crash.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff was transported by Mac-o-chee EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital.

Authorities later learned he was flown to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center for additional treatment.

Timmerman and the child were transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by the Bellefontaine Fire Department, then later released.

The Chevrolet Malibu sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
