Bellefontaine High School recently named its Seniors of the Month.

Kayla Sellars is the daughter of Dan and Julie Sellars of Bellefontaine.

Future plans: Attend college and study aviation.

School activities and awards: Les Fons, Musical, National Honor Society, Interact Club, Chieftain Leaders, and Honda Academic Award.

If I were principal for a day: I would make the school day start later, and I would host a field day with a variety of games, food trucks, and raffles.

Favorite school memory: Les Fons Camp was a blast, and I got to know everybody so much better. We did find out at the end of camp that the air conditioning had been turned off the whole week, but we also had unlimited ice cream, which made up for it. The shaving cream and water balloon fight was definitely the best part.

People who have been an inspiration to me: My dad, my siblings, and my teachers. All of them have helped me grow, get out of my comfort zone, and become a better person.

Lately I’ve been reading: Articles for a research paper.

My advice to parents: Don’t avoid talking to your kids about hard topics, encourage their hobbies, and show up to their events because it means the world to them.

My biggest regret: My biggest regret was worrying so much about image during my freshman and sophomore years, especially being new to the school. I was so concerned about laughing too loudly, saying a dumb joke, or being boring that I didn’t really open up until my junior year.

Where I see myself in 5 years: I hope to have finished a degree in aviation and hold a job as a flight instructor, building hours to advance my career.

Kaiden Foulk is the son of Kyle Foulk and Amber Showers of Bellefontaine.

Future plans: Attend college.

School activities and awards: Football, Basketball, and Track.

If I were principal for a day: I would cancel school.

Favorite school memory: Friday night football games and Chieftain Relays in track.

People who have been an inspiration to me: My family, friends, coaches, teammates, and teachers.

Lately I’ve been reading: Nothing.

My advice to parents: Support your kids in whatever they want to do and push them to get involved in something.

My biggest regret: Not taking advantage of more opportunities I had and not involving myself more while in school.

Where I see myself in 5 years: I see myself out of school, having a good career where I make good money and I’m doing well for myself.
