U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno made a stop in Bellefontaine Tuesday morning on his way to the Champaign County Fair.
Meeting with residents at The Syndicate on Main Street, Senator Moreno shared updates on President Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” and its impact on the community.
During his remarks, Moreno touched on a range of issues, including:
- A fully funded ICE and a zero-tolerance policy for illegal immigration
- Strengthening the U.S. military through full funding
- Updates to the Farm Bill and the upcoming federal budget
- Medicaid changes
- Concerns about interest rates and economic policy
- The regulation and role of Stablecoin in the financial system
- Tariffs and their role in trade policy
- The importance of supporting the traditional family model
