Russells Point’s Police Sergeant Morgan Styles has graduated from the Law Enforcement Foundation’s Supervisors Training and Education Program (STEP), a key leadership course for newly promoted law enforcement supervisors in Ohio.
Launched in 2004, STEP is designed to help officers transition into supervisory roles with confidence.
The program includes nineteen modules focused on real-world leadership challenges, decision-making, communication, and ethics.
It is led by experienced law enforcement professionals and updated regularly based on participant feedback and guidance from the STEP committee.
Chief Sean T. Asbury, Certified Law Enforcement Executive (CLEE), oversees the program’s direction to ensure it stays current with the needs of today’s public safety environment.
STEP is also the entry point into Ohio’s broader leadership development track, which includes the Police Executive Leadership College (PELC) and the Certified Law Enforcement Executive (CLEE) program.
With this achievement, Sergeant Styles joins a growing network of first-line supervisors committed to strong, accountable leadership in law enforcement.
Styles joined the Russells Point Police in February 2022 and was promoted to Sergeant in May 2024.
