The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Thursday morning on State Route 235 at the intersection of County Road 13 in Logan
County.
At 5:44 A.M., the Ohio State Highway Patrol received notification of a two-vehicle crash involving a 2007 Dodge Ram pickup truck and a 2012 Honda Odyssey.
First responders arrived to find both vehicles on the west side of the roadway, in a private drive.
The Ram pickup was operated by Aaron Taylor, 54, of Bellefontaine, Ohio.
The Honda was operated by Jason Honeycutt, 51, of Bellefontaine.
The preliminary investigation showed Honeycutt was westbound on County Road 13, failed to stop at the stop sign, and drove into the path of Taylor, who was northbound on State Route 235.
Both vehicles travelled off the west side of the roadway.
Honeycutt struck a drainage ditch and came to final rest in a gravel drive.
Taylor went off the roadway and came to rest in the same gravel drive.
Taylor was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by ground ambulance with minor injuries.
Honeycutt was pronounced dead at the scene by the Logan County Coroner’s investigator.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by DeGraff Fire Department, Indian Lake Joint Fire and Rescue, Indian Lake EMS, Top’s Towing, and Shafer’s Towing.
Seat belts were in use by both drivers, and heavy fog is believed to be a factor in the crash.

A fatal two-vehicle crash closed the intersection of State Route 235 and County Road 13 in Logan County Thursday morning.

One person was killed in the crash, while another person was taken to Mary Rutan Hospital with minor injuries.
The intersection was closed for about two hours as emergency crews worked at the scene.
The DeGraff Volunteer Fire Department, Indian Lake EMS, Indian Joint Fire Department and the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the crash.
Authorities have not released additional details, including the identity of the person who died or what led to the crash.
The investigation remains ongoing.
