A 26-year-old St. Paris woman was arrested Monday morning after deputies reportedly found her hunched over behind the wheel of a vehicle in the 800 block of Kite Road.
According to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched around 9:10 a.m. Aug. 17 for a report of a female in a blue Acura who appeared to be hunched over behind the wheel.
The woman was identified as Harlee Shook.
Shook was charged with OVI, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs, having physical control of a vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance, and operating without a valid driver’s license. The possession of drugs charge is listed as a fifth-degree felony, while the other charges are misdemeanors.
According to the report, deputies recovered a glass pipe with residue during the investigation.
Shook was taken into custody and transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail. The incident occurred in the 800 block of Kite Road in the St. Paris area.
