Two men were arrested on Friday in separate domestic violence cases reported in Logan County.
The first incident happened around 2:20 p.m. in the 6000 block of State Route 235 North.
Washington Township Police responded to reports of a domestic disturbance and spoke with the victim, who said Carl Lament, 77, of Lewistown, shoved her during an argument, causing injuries.
She also told authorities that when she attempted to call 911, Lament disconnected the phone line to stop her from contacting emergency services.
Lament had fled the scene before deputies arrived but was later found by the Russells Point Police Department.
He was arrested and transported to the Logan County Jail.
Lament is facing a charge of domestic violence.
Later that evening, around 8:50 p.m., officers responded to a home in the 11900 block of County Road 87.
A woman called 911 and reported that Aaron Myers, 30, of Lakeview, had pointed a shotgun at her during a dispute.
The victim escaped the home and called for help from a neighbor’s residence.
Responding officers contacted Myers by phone and instructed him to exit the home.
He complied and was taken into custody.
Officers noticed that Myers appeared heavily intoxicated, admitted to arguing with the victim, and drinking throughout the day, but denied threatening her with a firearm.
Authorities seized both a shotgun and an assault rifle from the home.
Myers was booked into the Logan County Jail and is facing charges of domestic violence and weapons while intoxicated.
Both cases remain under investigation.
