The Simon Kenton Trail within the City of Urbana is scheduled to close for 14 days beginning Monday, June 23rd.
The temporary closure is part of a grant-funded safety project aimed at improving trail crossings at Miami Street and North Main Street.
The upgrades are designed to enhance safety for trail users where the path intersects with vehicle traffic.
Trail users can expect posted detour signs directing them around the closed section.
Advance notice signs have already been placed along the trail at College Way/Muzzy Road and Julia Street.
The City of Urbana is encouraging trail users to follow all posted signs and exercise caution during the construction period.
