Initially, deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were called out to the area of Township Road 31 North and Township Road 220 about a possible injury accident involving one vehicle.

Deputies drove down 31 and 220 in an attempt to locate the vehicle.

Authorities found the crash scene in front of a residence in the 3900 block of Township Road 31 North, however, no vehicle was present.

Deputies concluded the vehicle was traveling south on Township Road 31 North when it ran off the road striking a mailbox and a fence.

A fluid trail led authorities to a residence in the 3400 block of Township Road 31 North.

Deputies observed a damaged vehicle in the driveway. The driver, Lauren Wildermuth, 26, was asked if she was injured and she said no.

Deputies noticed a heavy odor of an alcoholic beverage. They also observed she had red, bloodshot eyes.

Wildermuth denied field sobriety tests.

She was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail.

At the jail, she consented to a chemical test and gave samples of a .096 and a .093. The legal limit in Ohio is .08.

Wildermuth was cited with OVI, failure to control, and hit-skip.

Her license was seized and placed under suspension.

She was released from the jail to a sober driver.
