The Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle serious injury crash.
The crash occurred today, August 28, at approximately 4:30 a.m., on Township Road 218 just east of John Street in Harrison Township, Logan County.
The preliminary investigation revealed a 2006 Chevrolet Impala, operated by a 17-year-old male juvenile, was traveling northwest on Township Road 218.
The Chevrolet traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a culvert and an embankment before overturning.
The 17-year-old male juvenile was transported by air ambulance to Miami Valley Hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.
His two passengers, a 13-year-old female juvenile and a 16-year-old female juvenile, were both transported by ground ambulance to Mary Rutan Hospital with serious injuries.
The 13-year-old female juvenile was later transported by air ambulance to Dayton Children’s Hospital for additional treatment.
The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Bellefontaine Police Department, Huntsville EMS, Belle Center EMS, Bellefontaine EMS, MedFlight, and Wren’s Towing.
The crash remains under investigation by the Marysville Post.

A single-vehicle crash shut down the eastbound lanes of U.S. 33 near Township Road 56 early Friday morning, near Bellefontaine.
The crash happened around 4:30 a.m., with multiple injuries reported.
The roadway was closed for about an hour.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol, Logan County Sheriff’s Office, and multiple fire and EMS units responded to the scene.
No other details are being released at this time.
