Slick roads contribute to Logan County crash

Slick road conditions were a factor in a crash on Wednesday evening, according to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.

Just after 5:30 PM, Michael Vangelas, 42, of Lake Placid, Florida, lost control of his 2023 Nissan Sentra and traveled off the right side of the road.

The vehicle struck a rock ditch and overturned.

Vangelas was not injured and was cited for failure to control.

His car was towed from the scene.

He had been driving 70 MPH in a 70 MPH zone.

Law enforcement urges drivers to use caution on slick roads and adjust speed for conditions to help prevent accidents.
