Snow-covered roads were a factor in two separate crashes handled by Logan County Sheriff’s deputies Sunday morning.

Just before 8:30 a.m., a 2008 Honda CR-V driven by 18-year-old Summer Literal of West Mansfield was traveling south on County Road 142 when she slid off the right side of the roadway, into a ditch, and struck several trees.

She was transported by Perry Township EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for suspected minor injuries.

Literal was cited for failure to control, and her vehicle was towed from the scene.

About 15 minutes later, deputies responded to another crash on County Road 130.

A 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by 71-year-old Julia Armstrong of Bellefontaine went off the right side of the road, struck a pole and a culvert.

Armstrong was transported by Bellefontaine EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for possible minor injuries.

She was also cited for failure to control, and her vehicle was towed from the scene.
