Law enforcement arrested a woman after a black sedan was reported weaving dangerously along US 33 West on Sunday, according to the Bellefontaine Police Department.

Officers were alerted to the vehicle after a caller contacted the Ohio State Patrol.

Police located the black 2002 Lexus near US 68 and observed it weaving between lanes, crossing lines multiple times, and passing a semi-truck unsafely.

When the officer activated lights and sirens, the vehicle briefly resisted stopping but eventually pulled over near a bridge close to US 68.

The driver, later identified as Riley Hall, 21, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, stepped out of the car with her hands raised.

During the stop, officers noticed Hall showed several signs of impairment.

She initially denied drinking alcohol and agreed to perform field sobriety tests, which she failed.

Open containers were found inside the vehicle, and Hall caused minor damage to a patrol car while being restrained.

Logan County deputies assisted at the scene.

She was arrested for OVI and vandalism, then transported to the Logan County Jail.

Additional charges are pending.
