A Spencerville teen was arrested on a felony drug charge Friday evening just after 7 o’clock in Russells Point.
Washington Township Police conducted a traffic stop on David Cruz, 30, of Lima, on Route 33 near Sunnyside Avenue for an equipment and registration violation.
Cruz and his passenger, Kaleb Jones, 19, of Spencerville, advised authorities there were open containers of alcohol inside the vehicle.
During a probable cause search, officers located methamphetamine inside Jones’ wallet along with the open containers.
Jones was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail.
He was charged with possession of drugs and an open container violation.
Cruz was issued a citation for driving under suspension and open container.
