Urbana Police arrested an 18-year-old St. Paris man Monday after finding a stolen car behind a North Main Street apartment building.

Police say they began investigating around 8 a.m. after a 2013 Hyundai Sonata was reported stolen overnight from behind the 200 block of Scioto Street. Surveillance showed the car driving through town around 4 a.m. Later that evening, a citizen spotted the vehicle behind a building in the 500 block of North Main Street and called the police.

Officers arrived to find several people near the stolen car and identified one of them, Blaze Fiorini, as the suspect. Investigators say Fiorini admitted to stealing the vehicle overnight and driving it around the city.

Police say Fiorini has a prior 2025 conviction for stealing a motor vehicle and is currently on probation for that offense. He was charged with felony grand theft of a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, falsification, and obstruction.

Fiorini was taken to the Tri-County Regional Jail and was arraigned on Tuesday, October 14. His next court appearance is scheduled for October 20.
