Ohio’s fairs, along with the Ohio State Fair, generate economic activity across the state and educate the public about agriculture’s role in providing food, clothing, shelter, fuel, and energy.
The Ohio Department of Agriculture also oversees fair scheduling, amusement ride safety inspections, livestock show integrity, and animal health coordination with local veterinarians.
