Sunday morning officers from the Bellefontaine Police Department saw a white truck pull into the Pratt Street Apartments and then back out.
When officers followed the truck they ran the license plates and found them to be expired and the owner deceased.
Initiating a traffic stop, officers identified the driver as Floyd Stevens, 50 of Kenton, and the passenger as Shawn Stevens, 28 of Belle Center.
Floyd told officers that the vehicle had belonged to his mother.
Dispatch informed officers that Floyd had an active warrant for his arrest.
He was then placed in handcuffs and searched for weapons/narcotics.
Officers located a crack pipe, a chore boy, and a digital scale on Floyd.
Shawn was asked to step out of the vehicle and placed in handcuffs.
When officers searched him, they found two crack pipes and a chore boy.
Both men were transported to the Logan County Jail.
Floyd was arrested for his warrant and additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Shawn was charged with contempt of court/bond revoked and possession of drug paraphernalia.
