Logan County high school students involved in Student United Way are ready to invest $25,000 back into the community and are now accepting grant applications from local organizations.

After months of hands-on learning—visiting local agencies, participating in a poverty simulation, and exploring youth services—these students are stepping into leadership roles by reviewing applications and awarding funding to programs that support local youth.

Who Can Apply:
Local schools, educators, nonprofit organizations, churches, and government entities can apply for a United Way Youth Allocations Grant by March 13.

Grants will be decided in April and can be used during the summer of 2026 or the 2026–27 school year.

Funding Priorities:
Student United Way is especially interested in projects that address:

  • Mental Health: One-on-one support, coping skills education, and creative programming
  • Anti-Vaping Initiatives: Prevention education and support for students currently vaping
  • Poverty-Fighting Initiatives: Financial literacy, career exploration, and employment opportunities for teens
  • Mentoring Programs
  • Other innovative ideas supporting local youth

Applications may fund new or existing in-school or community-based programs serving youth under 18.
