Tuesday, six outstanding students from across Bellefontaine were recently recognized for their hard work, leadership, and dedication at the Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken Wall of Fame.
The event, held in Bellefontaine, is made possible through a partnership between the Bellefontaine Police Department, Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken, and PeakofOhioTV.
The Wall of Fame celebrates students who demonstrate not only academic achievement but also strong character, kindness, and leadership within their schools and communities.
This quarter’s honorees represent a mix of elementary, middle, and high school students.

Bellefontaine Elementary School – Emilia Doup, 1st Grade
Emilia was nominated as BES’s Student of the Quarter by librarian Mrs. Rutan. She “truly represents Chieftain leadership,” Mrs. Rutan said. “She consistently follows directions, treats others with kindness, and is always respectful to staff and classmates. Whether she’s in the library, cafeteria, or hallway, Emilia shines. She is an absolute gem, and our school is better because of her.”

Bellefontaine Intermediate School – Daxby Brown, 3rd Grade
Daxby stands out as a young leader among her peers. Teachers say she sets a positive example both in the classroom and on the playground, works hard through challenges, participates fully in class, and is always willing to help others. “Daxby is a friend to all and exhibits the traits of a Chieftain Leader daily,” school officials noted.

Bellefontaine Middle School – Blake Robinson
Blake was recognized for his dedication to learning and exemplary character. Teachers describe him as respectful, dependable, kind, and empathetic. “He supports his peers without hesitation and encourages inclusion. Blake understands that success is measured not only by personal achievement but also by how one treats others,” said his teachers.

Bellefontaine High School – Aya Covill, Sophomore
Aya brings positivity and energy to BHS each day. Staff say her cheerful attitude, resilience, and commitment to excellence make her a true light in the school community. Aya has maintained perfect attendance and consistently strives to meet—and often exceed—expectations in her work.

Calvary Middle School – Marissa Ramirez, 7th Grade
Marissa was recognized for her integrity, humility, and dedication to doing what is right. She actively participates in 4H and the Hardin County Fair, setting an example of hard work and responsibility for her classmates.

Calvary High School – Nora Kopus, 12th Grade
Nora exemplifies grit, service, and leadership. From her work on drama sets to leading Bible studies and supporting middle school students, she seeks wisdom and guidance while inspiring others to grow and serve. Teachers admire her authenticity and dedication to personal and spiritual growth.
