A West Liberty man was arrested Tuesday night after a traffic stop for multiple stop sign violations.

According to the Russells Point Police Department, officers on patrol around 6:45 PM observed a black 2006 Acura repeatedly stopping past the marked stop bars at several intersections.

The driver was identified as Robert Stump, 43, of West Liberty.

Officers reported that Stump showed several signs of intoxication and admitted to drinking four beers before driving.

Stump was asked to exit his vehicle, then failed field sobriety tests.

He was arrested and transported to the Logan County Jail, where he refused to submit to a breath test.

Stump was issued a summons to appear in Bellefontaine Municipal Court, charged with operating a vehicle impaired, and given a stop sign violation.
