Early Wednesday morning, Champaign County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a routine traffic stop near the intersection of Deer Run Road and US 68, just south of Urbana.
During the stop, dispatch advised that the male passenger, 33-year-old Anthony Warren, had an active nationwide warrant out of Memphis, Tennessee, for kidnapping and felonious assault.
Warren was taken into custody without incident and the Tri-County Regional Jail, where he was booked on the active warrant and is currently awaiting extradition.
