A 25-year-old man was arrested Tuesday morning in Bellefontaine after he was caught trying to enter the Honda Warehouse and was found to be under the influence of drugs.

Shortly before 8:00 AM, officers responded to the facility on Hunter Place after an employee reported a suspicious man pulling on doors around the building.

They told dispatch the man was wearing a yellow t-shirt and white hat and appeared to be intoxicated.

Officers found Bradley Tackett walking along Hunter Place with two associates following from a distance.

Tackett admitted to law enforcement he had used cocaine—initially saying it was several days ago, but later admitting to using it that morning.

A plastic cellophane wrapper was found in Tackett’s pocket.

While it appeared empty, a cocaine residue test later would indicate it had contained the drug.

Tackett was arrested for possession of cocaine and public intoxication.

He was taken to the Logan County Jail, where staff administered a urine test that confirmed cocaine was still in his system.

All evidence collected was placed into police custody as the investigation remains ongoing.
