The completely acrylic painted piece created by Nora Elliott, grade 10, captured the attention of guests at the Logan County Art and Music Festival hosted for the first time by the Holland Theatre. Nora’s mother said, “Nora’s ability to create such detailed artwork amazes me and I couldn’t be more proud of her creativity. The modern artwork juxtaposed against the historic Holland Theatre provided a perfect backdrop.”
The LoCo Art and The Holland Theatre-sponsored event spanned the entire weekend, beginning Friday evening with a performance by The All-County Honors Choir. The exhibit displayed around 150 pieces of artwork from talented students in grades K-12 from Bellefontaine, Benjamin Logan, Indian Lake, and Riverside schools on Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday afternoon.
LoCo Art Co-Director Jennifer Davis shared, “The concert Friday started the weekend off with a magnificent performance. Families were then able to appreciate the artwork together throughout the weekend. We’re looking forward to expanding the show next year.”
