According to reports from the Bellefontaine Police Department, a two-vehicle crash happened Tuesday evening just before 5:30 p.m. in the 2300 block of South Main Street.
Officers say a 2010 Honda Accord driven by Brian Roth, 55, of Lakeview, was traveling northbound when a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Nicholas Kensler, 17, of West Liberty, pulled out from a parking lot to travel southbound.
Kensler told police his view of oncoming traffic was blocked by another vehicle as he attempted to enter the roadway.
As Kensler pulled out, his vehicle struck Roth’s car in the right rear passenger door.
Both vehicles sustained damage and were towed from the scene.
No injuries were reported.
Kensler was cited for failure to yield.
Traffic in the area was slowed for a short time while crews worked to clear the scene.
