A DeGraff teenager and his 15-year-old passenger escaped injury after crashing a vehicle into a utility pole early Monday morning.
According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened just after 4:30 a.m. on County Road 66.
Deputies say a 2008 Hummer H2 driven by 16-year-old Jaycen Roby of DeGraff was traveling southbound when the vehicle went off the left side of the roadway and struck a utility pole.
Roby told deputies he had fallen asleep behind the wheel before the crash.
No injuries were reported.
The Hummer was towed from the scene.
Roby was cited for failure to control.
