Update: Three taken to hospitals after crash at Ohio Hi-Point Career Center

UPDATE:

Bellefontaine Police say three people were transported to area hospitals after a two-vehicle crash Thursday on State Route 540 at the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center.

According to the report, a 2004 Honda Accord driven by 17-year-old Paige McComas of Bellefontaine was traveling eastbound on 540 when a 2017 Honda CR-V, driven by 63-year-old Tami Brown of Bellefontaine, pulled from the stop sign at the school.

Brown told officers she did not see McComas approaching and struck the Accord on the passenger side.

Brown was transported by Bellefontaine EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital with possible injuries.

McComas was taken by private vehicle to Mary Rutan.

A 17-year-old female passenger in McComas’ car was taken by Robinaugh EMS to Memorial Hospital in Marysville.

McComas was cited for not having her headlights on, while Brown was issued a stop sign violation.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

A two-vehicle crash on State Route 540 near the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center temporarily closed the roadway just before 8 a.m. Thursday.

Bellefontaine Police, Logan County Sheriff’s Deputies, Bellefontaine EMS, and Robinaugh EMS all responded to the scene.

Details on injuries or the cause of the crash have not yet been released.

One person was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital, and another was taken to Memorial Health in Marysville.

Motorists were advised to expect delays while crews cleared the scene.
