The Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a three-vehicle injury crash that happened Wednesday afternoon.
Amy Basinger, 57, of East Liberty, was stopped at the intersection of State Route 347 at County Road 154 waiting to turn left when Erick Colman-Fernandez, 23, of Columbus, rear-ended her.
During the collision, Colman-Fernandez crossed the center line and clipped the trailer being hauled by Marvin Roberts, 54, of East Liberty.
After the collision, both passenger vehicles caught on fire.
All parties were able to exit the vehicles and make it to safety.
Amy Basinger and her juvenile passenger were transported to Memorial Hospital by Perry Township EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Ohio Division of Natural Resources Wildlife Division, Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Perry Township Fire/EMS, Allen Township EMS, Ace’s High Towing, and Dad’s Towing.
The accident closed the road way for several hours.
