Troopers from the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded around 4 p.m. Friday to a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 33, about a mile west of State Route 347.
Law enforcement confirmed that Cory Walters, 31, of Lakeview, was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Express van in the right westbound lane when he struck the rear of a stopped 2018 GMC pickup truck pulling a trailer.
The GMC had stopped due to debris in the roadway, and the impact pushed it into the rear of a 2018 Honda CR-V, also stopped for the obstruction.
The GMC’s driver, Paden Lopez, 38, of Wapakoneta, and the Honda’s driver, Amy Price, 40, of Dublin, each suffered minor injuries and were transported by Tri-Valley EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital.
Walters was not injured and was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead and distracted driving.
Bellefontaine Fire and EMS assisted at the scene.
Traffic was backed up for a short time while crews cleared the area.
