According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a three-vehicle crash around 5:00 p.m. Tuesday on County Road 130 near Township Road 218 resulted in one person being taken to the hospital.
Troopers say a 2024 Ford Transit van driven by Joel Wiley, 32, of Bellefontaine, rear-ended a 2012 Honda Accord Crosstour driven by Jason Honeycutt, 51, of Bellefontaine.
The impact pushed Honeycutt’s vehicle into the rear of a 2026 Load Trail trailer being pulled by a 2024 Ford F-350, driven by a 16-year-old Bellefontaine teen.
Investigators say the teen was stopped on County Road 130, waiting to make a left turn onto Township Road 218, when the crash happened.
Wiley suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by Bellefontaine EMS.
Honeycutt was transported by Bellefontaine EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital with minor injuries.
The teen was not reported injured.
Troopers cited Wiley for assured clear distance ahead.
The roadway was closed for a short time while emergency crews responded and investigated the crash.

A three-vehicle crash has shut down the intersection of County Road 130 and Township Road 218 after a rear-end chain-reaction collision involving a truck pulling a trailer, a Honda, and a white van on Tuesday evening.
According to initial information from the scene, the truck pulling a trailer was rear-ended by the Honda. Moments later, the Honda was struck from behind by the white van, causing the chain-reaction crash.
Bellefontaine Fire and EMS responded to the scene and treated those involved. At least one person was transported by Bellefontaine EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital with injuries. The extent of those injuries has not yet been released.
The intersection was closed for a period of time while emergency crews assisted victims and cleared the scene.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and is expected to release additional information as the investigation continues.
