Three-vehicle crash shuts down intersection of County Road 130 and Township Road 218

A three-vehicle crash has shut down the intersection of County Road 130 and Township Road 218 after a rear-end chain-reaction collision involving a truck pulling a trailer, a Honda, and a white van on Tuesday evening.

According to initial information from the scene, the truck pulling a trailer was rear-ended by the Honda. Moments later, the Honda was struck from behind by the white van, causing the chain-reaction crash.

Bellefontaine Fire and EMS responded to the scene and treated those involved. At least one person was transported by Bellefontaine EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital with injuries. The extent of those injuries has not yet been released.

The intersection was closed for a period of time while emergency crews assisted victims and cleared the scene.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and is expected to release additional information as the investigation continues.
