Several students from area high schools have been awarded the State FFA Degree, one of the highest honors presented by the Ohio FFA Association.

This elite recognition is earned by only a small percentage of FFA members across the state who demonstrate outstanding leadership, dedication to agricultural education, and active involvement in FFA programs and community service.

Recipients must meet rigorous criteria, including at least two years of active membership, the successful completion of a Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE), and a strong record of participation in FFA activities.

Earning the State Degree also places students on the path toward the even more exclusive American FFA Degree.

From West Liberty-Salem High School, this year’s honorees include Owen Barger, Shyanne McClintick, and Ella Vondenhuevel.

Benjamin Logan High School also had three recipients: Liam Sweeney, Zhoe Seeley, and Ricky Tevis.

At Indian Lake High School, Caleb Altstaetter, Alex Kinney, and Cambria Tuttle received the honor.

These students represent the future of agriculture in Ohio and highlight the strength and impact of FFA programs in local schools.
