The CenterPoint Energy Dayton Air Show has announced dates for its 2027 event, with aviation fans set to gather at Dayton International Airport on June 26 and 27.
The announcement comes after another successful weekend for the air show, despite weather challenges on Sunday.
According to organizers, approximately 90,000 people attended the 2026 event, with about 60 percent of that total coming on Saturday.
Executive Director Kevin Franklin said it was one of the strongest Saturdays in the show’s history.
While sunny skies allowed the full schedule to fly on Saturday, rain and low clouds on Sunday forced the U.S. Navy Blue Angels to cancel their headline performance.
Franklin said about 90 percent of the scheduled show was still completed despite the weather.
Organizers also reported no heat-related medical emergencies among attendees throughout the weekend.
Looking ahead, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will headline the 2027 show.
The renowned military flight demonstration team is scheduled to perform both days of the event, bringing its signature high-speed aerial maneuvers and precision flying to Dayton.
The Dayton Air Show is one of the largest aviation events in the Midwest and has been a longtime summer tradition in the Birthplace of Aviation, attracting visitors from across Ohio and beyond.
Additional performers, ticket information, and event details are expected to be announced closer to the event.
The 2027 CenterPoint Energy Dayton Air Show is scheduled for June 26-27 at Dayton International Airport.
