Fire crews from multiple departments responded to a working residential structure fire on Tuesday afternoon in Adams Township in Champaign County.
The fire was reported around 3:45 p.m. in the 6000 block of North Street, where crews arrived to find a mobile home heavily involved. Initial reports indicated a dog and a cat were still inside the structure.
Mutual aid was provided by the Rosewood Volunteer Fire Department, Quincy-Miami Township Fire & EMS, and the JSP Fire District. Responding units assisted with fire suppression, water supply operations from Kiser Lake, and on-scene EMS coverage.
Despite crews’ efforts, the structure was declared a total loss. No injuries were reported.
