If you’ve been looking for a reason to slow down and enjoy what’s right in your backyard, Logan County Tourism Week might be just what you need.

Running now through August 9, the week is packed with low-key ways to explore local attractions, enjoy family time, and take a break—without leaving the county.

Whether it’s your first visit to Ohio Caverns or your hundredth time walking through downtown Bellefontaine, Tourism Week encourages residents to see familiar places through fresh eyes.

From free boat rides and scavenger hunts to pony rides, movie nights, and food events, the schedule mixes outdoor fun with small-town charm.

“This is really about getting out and making memories—without needing a big trip or a big budget,” said Anna Louden, Director of the Logan County Visitors Bureau. “We want people to explore different parts of the county and maybe find something they didn’t know was here.”

Each day has its own focus.

You can dig for gems at the caverns, cool off at a splash pad, catch live music at Indian Lake, or just grab a passport coupon and treat yourself to a free scoop of ice cream or a coffee on Main Street.

There’s also a sense of community to the week.

Local volunteers and businesses have come together to offer discounts, freebies, and behind-the-scenes experiences—like historic tours, craft days, and sidewalk sales.

No pressure.

No long drives.

Just a chance to reconnect with your hometown, or the next town over.
