Early Sunday morning Logan County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a maroon Ford Focus driven by Brandy Simons, 32, of Urbana, because they noticed she had a headlight out.

During the stop, Simons seemed nervous and showed signs of possible drug use.

She could not provide proof of insurance, and further checks showed prior drug-related offenses.

After refusing to let officers search her vehicle, a K9 unit was called to the scene.

K9 Tega alerted to the presence of drugs in the car.

During a vehicle search, deputies found a crack pipe and other drug paraphernalia inside.

Simons was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and taken to the Logan County Jail.
