Traffic stop leads to drug related arrest

Friday evening, Washington Township Police stopped a vehicle on US Route 33 near Township Road 239 for a turn signal violation.

As officers spoke to Ryan Davis, 49, of New Haven, Indiana, they noticed he showed several signs of drug use.

K9 Tega from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene.

Tega alerted law enforcement to the presence of drugs inside the vehicle.

During a vehicle search, fentanyl was found inside a metal container.

Officers also found three firearms.

Davis was arrested and lodged in the Logan County Jail for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Additional charges are pending due to Davis’s criminal record.
