Washington Township Police report that two people were arrested late Friday night after a traffic stop led to the discovery of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Friday night, just before 10 PM, officers conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Route 33 near Stephenson Street for a left-of-center violation.

The vehicle was driven by Robert Bobbitt Jr., 47, of Lakeview, and occupied by Jeannie Heintz, 41, of Russells Point.

Police say both individuals showed signs of drug use.

During a search of the vehicle, officers found a pipe, along with methamphetamine that Bobbitt admitted belonged to him.

A second pipe was also found under Heintz’s seat.

Both Bobbitt and Heintz were taken into custody and lodged in the Logan County Jail.

Bobbitt was charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, while Heintz was charged with drug paraphernalia.
