Traffic Stop Results in Arrest of Wanted Man

On August 29, 2024, at 930 P.M. officers were on patrol on Township Road 239 near US Route 33 and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation.

Upon making contact with the occupants, a male passenger was asked for his identification for failure to wear his seatbelt. The male provided the officer with a false social security number. Eventually, officers were able to identify the male as Zachary Henry, 36 of Troy. Zachary was found to have multiple warrants for his arrest.

He was taken into custody and transported to the Logan County Jail. Once at the jail, Zachary began showing signs of impairment. Zachary admitted to corrections officers that he swallowed eight pressed fentanyl pills upon being pulled over.

Zachary was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Bellefontaine Medics.

A warrant for identity fraud was forwarded to the Logan County Prosecutors Office. Additional charges were requested.
