Meet Morgan Trees — a first grader at Benjamin Logan Elementary who’s just been named Little Miss Poppy 2025 by the West Mansfield American Legion Post 603.

At just six years old, Morgan is stepping up in a big way to support America’s veterans.

With deep family ties to military service, her passion for giving back runs strong.

Her grandfather, Robert Foos, served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Her great-grandfather, Gerald Trees, served during the Korean conflict, and another great-grandfather served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1958.

As Little Miss Poppy, Morgan isn’t just wearing a crown — she’s leading a cause.

She’s launched a personal fundraiser for Operation Comfort Warriors, a program that provides wounded veterans with everything from adaptive clothing and electronics to physical rehab gear and comfort items that make everyday life easier.

Morgan’s goal?

Raise $500+ to support injured service members — and she’s inviting the community to join her.

Donations can be sent via Venmo to Tiffany Trees, and every dollar goes directly to helping veterans heal and rebuild.

It’s a big mission for someone so young, but Morgan is proving that no one is too small to make a big difference.
